According to De Baca County Sheriff's office, a five-year-old girl was abandoned at an Allsup's convenience store in Fort Sumner Saturday afternoon.

Chief Deputy Kurt Griego says the girl's name is Sasha, but she didn't know her last name.

Griego said the girl's parents have been identified. However, the child indicated she was with her babysitter, when the women told her to get out of the vehicle and go pick up a candy bar.

The child says her mother's name is Lori or Laurie and her father's name is Ginny or Indio, but is unsure if it is a nickname.

The girl told deputies that she is in kindergarten and her teacher's name is Mrs. Brown.

Deputies believe the car the woman was driving is green in color.
