University of New Mexico head coach Bob Davie is expecting to be without quarterback Cole Gautsche for at least a week.

Gautsche suffered a hamstring injury in the fourth quarter on Saturday.  Gautsche pulled a hamstring muscle in his right leg while running out of bounds against UTEP.

"I doubt he'll be back next week," said Davie following the loss.  Gautsche rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns against the Miners.  UNM will host Arizona State on Saturday.  Clayton Mitchem is expected to start at quarterback for the Lobos.

Quarterback Cole Gautsche is expected to miss Saturday's game.
