Bernalillo County sheriff's deputies arrested a man Monday evening who had allegedly stolen a car, then fled from deputies before crashing and fleeing into a nearby home.

The suspect surrendered to deputies after a short stand-off.

BCSO originally received a call from a person who said their vehicle had been previously stolen, and that they had found it at an apartment complex.

When deputies approached the vehicle upon arrival, the driver fled, nearly hitting deputies' cars.

A short chase ensued before the suspect crashed near Native Flower. Multiple people inside the vehicle fled into a nearby house.

Three people eventually came out and told police the suspect was still inside. The suspect surrendered shortly thereafter.
