Firefighters douse NE Albuquerque house fire in minutes

Albuquerque firefighters put out a house fire in less than ten minutes early Friday.

The fire started inside a carport in the 500 block of San Pablo Street NE around 5:30 a.m. Upon arrival, firefighters witnessed smoke and flames from the carport spread to the adjacent single-family residence.

Three family members had evacuated before the crew arrived.

AFD said the firefighters got the flames under control within eight minutes.

The origin and cause of this fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.

Family Services has been notified to help the family displaced by the fire.
