AG takes anti-meth message to kids, parents

SANTA FE (AP) - The attorney general is going on the road with a message about meth: Don't do it.

Attorney General Gary King says he has a new campaign about methamphetamine -- which he calls one of New Mexico's most dangerous problems.

He says the best way to combat it is by education. So his office will give presentations at schools, clubs, and community groups. And it will offer the educational program at work places.

Companies with large work forces will be asked to let employees attend the sessions.

King says he will ask the Legislature for 2.5 million dollars in the session that begins later this month to expand his anti-meth educational and enforcement activities statewide.
