There is no doubt that Lobos would rather be playing in the NCAA Tournament, but the Lobos beat the Nebraska Corn Huskers Tuesday night and now get to take on Notre Dame from the Big East. Tony Danridge and Daniel Faris were outstanding in the win in the Pit. The Lobos were up by as many as 19 and then had to hold off an energized Husker bunch that wanted a road win. The final result was an 83-to-71 New Mexico win.

Next the Lobos get the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, not only is it a chance to play a Big East team but you'll get that national exposure that Mountain West Conference teams don't often get. The Irish have a monster in the middle and he is light years better then Luke Nevill. We are talking about Luke Harangody, this is a player that scores 23 a game and grabs 12 rebounds a game. He is a load and the Lobos will have their hands full.
