HAGERMAN, N.M. (AP) - Two men have died in a crash between a car and a pickup truck near Hagerman.
State police identified them as 74-year-old Fred Layton of Hagerman and 23-year-old Nathan Turpen of Dexter.
State police say the vehicles the men were driving collided at an intersection west of Hagerman Tuesday.
They say Layton was thrown from his pickup truck. He died later at a hospital. Turpen was pronounced dead at the scene.
