Century-old eastern NM post office closes

ST. VRAIN, N.M. (AP) - The 102-year-old St. Vrain post office has closed, and customers in the eastern New Mexico village are now receiving mail at a cluster box.
Bonnie Robinson of Melrose, who ran the post office for seven months, says St. Vrain is among several small post offices that had low revenues and have been closed.
She says the Postal Service has gone through tough financial times lately, like everyone else.
The post office’s last day was Tuesday.
