Mud volleyball
Playing dirty was one of the rules at the 15th annual tournament.
Participant Geoff Lawson said Saturday, "The hardest part about playing in the mud is probably the fact that the bottom is really slick and you can't keep your footing so you just fall in like every time you try to move."
The fundraising event guaranteed players got filthy, but they say they don't mind the muck when it means raising money for the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation. The foundation supports special needs children across the state.
This year's event was sold out and last year's event raised enough to help thousands of children with special medical services.
Even though the goal was to raise money, some players say they just wanted to get down and dirty.
