Roswell woman killed in rollover
ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) - A 36-year-old Roswell woman has died in a rollover accident on U.S. 285 north of Roswell.
New Mexico State Police say Laura Davis was thrown from a pickup, which came to rest on top of her on the highway.
The driver, 19-year-old Antonio Becerril of Dexter, lost control of the pickup, which rolled multiple times.
Becerril and three other passengers, who were wearing seat belts, were treated for minor injuries. State police say Davis was not wearing a seat belt.
State police say the pickup’s speed also contributed to the accident.
