The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 11 p.m., MDT for the following counties: Eddy, Lea, Chaves, De Baca, Lincoln and Roosevelt.
A severe thunderstorm watch was in effect until 9 p.m., MDT for Curry, Guadalupe, Harding, Quay, San Miguel and Union counties. That alert was allowed to expire.
A severe thunderstorm watch means weather conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms to exist in the watch area.
