Chiara Anton-Williams is officially charged with Child Abuse Resulting In Death. Police arrested her Thursday—one week after the boy died. Court documents say Anton-Williams called 911 after the little boy passed out in the back of her car while she was picking up another child at SY Jackson Elementary School in northeast Albuquerque. He was taken to the hospital last Thursday, where he later died. Doctors tell police the child had severe internal injuries. Police say Anton-Williams told them she got frustrated with the boy earlier in the day when he had an accident on the floor. In court documents, Anton-Williams admits to treating the boy “roughly.” Court records also say daycare workers told police the toddler would come in with black eyes, and that his stepmother always had an excuse as to why he was hurt. |
