Deputies say a man was run over by four young teenagers after they beat him.
A Valencia County man is in critical condition after deputies say he was brutally beaten by a group of teens, and then run over by his own truck.

Deputies say four teenagers started banging on a door in Rio Communities asking for the homeowner to come outside.

Deputies say the victim, Celso Molina, opened the door and four young teens started to beat him and hit him over the head with beer bottles.

They say the teens managed to get ahold of the man's car keys, then ran him over with his own truck.

The teens then led deputies on a chase lasting more than 30 miles through the county.

Spike strips were used to destroy the truck's front tires, but the teens continued until they slammed into the back of a deputy's unit.

Deputy Chris Trujillo said, "The suspects then accelerated in the motor vehicle, rammed the sergeant from behind at about 55 miles an hour, at which time the pursuit did end, and the four juveniles were apprehended."

The deputy and all four teens were taken to UNM Hospital, treated and released. The victim was in critical condition Sunday night at the same hospital

The four boys are now being held in a juvenile detention facility on several felony charges. One of the suspects is 16, two are 15 and one is 14.

Deputies say some of the boys were already on probation and had ankle monitoring devices.
