New school delays homecoming festivities

The school's homecoming game has been pushed back to Oct. 24.
The school is pushing back the first ever homecoming game and week of festivities to deal with some lingering construction that should have been already completed.
With the turf down and the stands up, the V. Sue Cleveland stadium appears to be almost done, but it's still a major construction zone.
Not only are the athletic facilities not finished as soon as the school had hoped, but the concert hall is also behind schedule.
The school says these were part of a second phase of construction, which fell behind a bit because of delays with lighting and a few other issues.
Students on the football and soccer teams are practicing off campus until construction is complete.
The school had hoped to hold homecoming the week of September 26, but pushed that date back by nearly a month.
The homecoming delay is the second big ding for students this year. The school started two days late because of construction.
The school has pushed the date of the homecoming game to October 24.
