A 54-year-old Los Lunas man has been charged with eight counts of sexual exploitation of children based on images found on his computer that investigators say are pornographic.

According to Los Lunas Police Department spokesman Vince Torres, investigators with the department’s internet unit, acting on a tip from Albuquerque police, interviewed Stephen Norcott at his home last week and received his permission to search his computer.

On the computer, officials say they found 26 photographs of children between the ages of eight and 13 in various poses.

Investigators selected eight of the most explicit photos and filed the eight fourth-degree felony charges based on them.

Investigators seized the computer and are awaiting a search warrant to more thoroughly search the device.

Norcott is expected to be arraigned in magistrate court in Los Lunas on November 19.
