Highlited by the Lobos shooting almost 50-percent from the floor and knocking down 8-3-pointers UNM beat the San Diego State Aztecs 88-to-86 in overtime. The win moves the Lobos into a 3-way tie for first place with BYU and UNLV. The difference was a 55-footer by Darington Hobson right before the halftime horn. Hobson scored 29-points, grabbed 12 rebounds, dished out 6-assists and scored 8-of the Lobos 10-points in the overtime period. One of the big keys for UNM was the 17-second chance points and their 34-points in the paint they got by grabbing 13-offensive rebounds. With the win the Lobos are now 21-and-3 with a conference mark of 7-and-2. Next up is UNLV in Las Vegas Wednesday Night.
