QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should demonstrate news writing skills. Journalism experience preferred. Ideal candidates should be comfortable with limited use of Microsoft Word and acccessing information via the Internet.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
We require that all internships be taken for course credit or be recommended as a course requirement at a college, university or trade school, and be supervised by an instructor or advisor.
A student interested in an internship position with KOB-TV will need to provide the following information:
- A copy of a resume;
- A statement regarding the kind of experience the student is interested in gaining through the internship;
- A letter from an advisor recommending the student for an internship as well as verifying that the student would receive credit for an internship.
Because we want to ensure that an internship meets educational goals, we do require that all interns receive college credit for their experience.
DUTIES:
This internship will assist the KOB News Department in maintaining news content on its local community websites by creating and updating stories, images and video. THIS IS NOT A WEB DESIGN POSITION. This internship will provide valuable journalism experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The following physical requirements are typical, but not all-inclusive: Sight and hearing. Manual dexterity to operate all office equipment. May lift and carry light material.
