KOB Eyewitness News 4 was there when a suspected pimp turned himself into police Wednesday afternoon.

Dante McKay was indicted last week on charges including human trafficking and promoting prostitution.

McKay was arrested at the Ambassador Inn in Albuquerque last month after undercover officers said he forced a 17-year-old girl into prostitution.

According to police, McKay posted bond and then they could not find him.

McKay said he never fled the area.

"I just wanna say I'm innocent. What the news has been reporting on me...so far about me being on the run and not being located since my bond is a lie. I've been reporting every day since I was released. I've been paying my bond...I'm innocent to these charges," McKay explained on camera.

McKay said he looks forward to standing trial.
