Another Hollywood actress who shot in a movie in New Mexico is making disparaging remarks about the Land of Enchantment.

Sandra Vergara, a star in the movie "Fright Night", which was shot in Albuquerque, made comments about her time in Albuquerque during an interview on cable TV outlet, G4TV.

The host of the show asked Vergara if the shoot was in Albuquerque.  Vergara responded, “Unfortunately.”  She goes on to say, “Nothing against Albuquerque.  There’s two things Genghis Mongolian barbeque and P.F. Changs and a strip club and it was the only place that had alcohol and I had to go.”

Vergara confused the popular sports bar Twin Peaks for a strip club.

“Twin Peaks was the name of the strip club,” Vergara said.  “I think I’m a magnet with the girls.”

City of Albuquerque Economic Development Director John Garcia said he felt like the comments were a slap in the face considering the city and state “bent over backwards” for the production.

“I was disappointed in her comments,” Garcia said.  “We take a lot of pride in our community.”

"Fright Night" is a vampire thriller and hit movie theatres in August.  Albuquerque residents who saw the comments were less than impressed.

“It's rude of her to say stuff like that,” said Elizabeth Bailey.  “She obviously thinks really highly of herself."

“I haven't even seen her movie or heard of her so I don't know why her opinion is even important," said McKenzie Bailey.

Jessica Alba made similar comments about Albuquerque when she shot "The Eye" in New Mexico a few years ago.  Mary McComick, star of "In Plain Sight" apologized for comments she made disparaging Albuquerque on the cable TV show "Chelsea Lately."
