The Albuquerque BioPark Zoo visitors had an interesting day on Tuesday.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 got called from concerned viewers who said there was an animal on the loose at the zoo.

Officials reported it was just a drill. The scenario was that a lion got out and zoo workers had to get visitors inside as quickly as possible.

Zoo-goers said having the drills is a good idea.

"I think it's a good thing they have safety drills because you always think about something escaping at the zoo and now you know what they would do," said zoo visitor Damara Kaplan.

Zoo officials said they perform the drills four times a year.
