The Albuquerque Police Department released helicopter video which shows a team effort used to nab armed robbery suspects on the run.

In December, two men reportedly robbed the M&M Smokeshop near Central and University.

Witnesses said the men fled on a moped with two bongs.

With help from police dispatch, the APD helicopter found the two suspects lying on the ground in a backyard near Broadway and Gibson.

"Air one, he's 20 feet from there, in front of you,” police said. "Watch to see if he's moving at all."

Police sent a dog into the backyard, but the suspects covered themselves with debris.

Initially, the dog was unable to pick up a scent.

"The dog literally went right over him,” police said. “Just give him a second to work it."

Officers moved deeper into the backyard and eventually arrested the suspects.
