Rail Runner transporting passengers around Romero fire

The New Mexico Rail Runner Express is implementing a bus bridge for all passengers due to the Romero fire, burning in the bosque on Sandia Pueblo.

Officials said ABQ Ride is bussing passengers around the fire and onto other Rail Runner trains to their destinations.

According to recently released information, northbound passengers will be bussed from the Los Ranchos/Journal Center train station to the US 550/Sandoval County station where they will board another train and head to northern destinations.

Southbound passengers will be bussed from US 550/Sandoval County train station to the Los Ranchos/Journal Center station where they will board another train to head to southern destinations.

These new accommodations will affect all six remaining evening trains, including northbound #516, #518 and #520 and southbound #517, #519 and #521.
