ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - An Albuquerque SWAT officer has been removed from his leadership role after a video captured him bemoaning laws and department policies.

The Albuquerque Journal reports that Drew Bader will remain on the SWAT team.

Police Chief Ray Schultz says Bader and Sgt. Alex Catsis also were captured on video during a standoff on June 20 making inappropriate comments about the man inside the home and his family.

Schultz says the comments don't reflect a cultural problem on the SWAT team.

But an attorney for the family of Santiago Chavez, who ultimately shot himself, disagrees.

Kari Morrissey calls the officers' comments despicable and says they're a reason not to trust the department.

Catsis had been wearing a camera on his lapel.

Police released the video this week.(Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.)
