This season, the Lobo football team heads to Austin to play Texas. Next season the Lobos will travel to the Lone Star State again for a big payday.

The Lobos will play Texas A&M in November 2013. UNM will reportedly receive $1 million for making the trip.

This will be a return to College Station for UNM head coach Bob Davie who was once a linebackers coach and defensive coordinator at Texas A&M.

The tentative 2013 schedule for the Lobos also includes Texas San Antonio, UTEP and New Mexico State.
