Three New Mexicans receive purple heart

Three New Mexico National Guard soldiers wounded while trying to keep the peace in Europe received the purple heart Sunday.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 was there in Santa Fe as Master Sergeant Lacey Macias, and Staff Sergeants Richard Schlensig and Eric Solano were honored.

All three were wounded in Kosovo last year during a peacekeeping mission.
