"Million Dollar Mary"

There’s a good chance you played the Powerball. If you did and want better odds, some say go to the Chevron on Montgomery and Eubank.

"They call me Million Dollar Mary," Marry Torres said.

Last month, Mary sold a $320,000 Road Runner lottery ticket winner to one of her regulars. After that win, the Chevron was officially designated a lucky landmark.

This store's luck goes even further back to last year. Mary sold a $1 million Powerball ticket.

"They said you sold the big winning ticket and I was shocked," Million Dollar Mary said.

Some customers will check to see if Million Dollar Mary is working. If she isn't, they will go home and come back when she is.

On Wednesday night, Mary was busy printing out as many Powerball tickets as her customers needed.

The winning Powerball numbers for Wednesday August 15, 2012 were 6-27-46-51-56 AND 21.

The Powerball jackpot was worth an estimated $320 million.

Officials said Wednesday night's jackpot was the fourth largest in history. They said New Mexicans spent more than $400,000 on lottery tickets.
