ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A Santa Fe couple is suing an area resort for injuries they say they received were hurt in a fall down a steep hill after employees abandoned them.

Erlinda and Freddie Herrera say in their suit against the Bishop's Lodge Ranch, Resort and Spa that an employee told them to follow him up the hill to a wedding site.

They asked for a ride up the gravel-covered incline but didn't get one.

As they climbed, another worker in a van passed by and said the wedding was at the hill bottom.

The other employee had disappeared and the van driver didn't offer a ride.

The 75-year-old couple fell making their way down the hill and are seeking compensation.

The Albuquerque Journal says resort officials declined comment on the suit.
