The New Mexico State Police said Brandon Hall, 26, suffered a head wound after falling 30-to-40 feet Sunday afternoon.
Fortunately, two search and rescue members were already there and provided assistance. A Blackhawk helicopter picked Hall up, although the crews had trouble getting him into the chopper for a while before they finally got him safely into the helicopter.
The helicopter transported Hall to Johnson Field at UNM where he was driven to UNM Hospital.
