Gov. appoints Albuquerque lawyer to Bernalillo County Commission

Governor Susana Martinez has appointed Simon Kubiak of Albuquerque to fill the vacant seat on the Bernalillo County Commission created by the resignation of former Commissioner Michelle Lujan Grisham.

Kubiak is a Republican; Grisham is a Democrat.

Kubiak, a graduate of the University of New Mexico, is an attorney who earned his law degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
