Torrance County sheriff's deputies continue an investigation into a large-scale marijuana farm found in the Manzano Mountains Sunday night.

According to officials, two brothers were on a hunting expedition near Tajique when they stumbled upon approximately 300 marijuana plants. Four individuals allegedly fired multiple rounds at the brothers.

Authorities said the plants appear to have been growing for quite some time; each plant is about four-feet wide and six to eight-feet tall. Once the plants were removed and weighed, the crop were estimated at over 1,800 pounds.

Torrance County officials said no one has been caught, however they have a lead on one suspect.
