The jet skis and four wheelers were out in full force to show the best of what Bloomfield has to offer to camera woman Zahira Collazo.
“I'm shooting today for Today In America, a show. And we are here showcasing the city," said Collazo.
The city was picked by the show, hosted by former NFL player Terry Bradshaw, as one of the best places to live, work visit and play.
City officials took Collazo around town so she could film for the segment that will air on Discovery.
“Oh it's just very exciting," said Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce spokesperson, Bernadette Smith.
Smith said the exposure will be good for Bloomfield--population 7,800. “Well we're just hoping that it will enlighten a bunch of people from all over the United States."
The city plans to make the most of their five minutes in the national spotlight when it airs. “We are such a small town and how they picked us over any other place in the United States is really amazing to us."
After a long morning of filming, Collazo said she is taken by the small city. “It's a beautiful landscape--from the food, the people, so I'm enjoying a lot...being here."
The segment will air on the Discovery Channel some time in the next four to six weeks.
