BSCO identifies two men shot Monday in South Valley

Bernalillo County Sheriff deputies have identified the two men shot Monday in the South Valley.
One man, Ralph John Chavez, 45, was killed. Another man, whose name is not being released, was injured and is in stable condition.
Police were called to an address on De Baca Circle SW at about 10 a.m. Monday in reference to a gunshot victim asking for help.
The victim was able to tell deputies of another gunshot victim located in a residence on the 1400 block of La Vega SW.
Deputies arrived at that scene and discovered a male victim, now identified as Chavez, dead at the scene from gunshot wounds.
Bernalillo County Sheriff deputies say an investigation is continuing and no suspect profile has yet been developed.
