The woman convicted of driving erratically and slamming into a bicyclist was sentenced to 90 days in jail on Tuesday.

Miranda Pacheco gave an emotional and tearful apology to David Anderson’s family. Almost unable to contain her emotions, Pacheco apologized for actions.

"I have thought a lot about what I would say to you if I had the chance and I don't deny responsibility for what took place on March 22nd, 2010,” Pacheco said. “And I know I've made poor decisions in the past. I'm not worried about what happens to me, the tears that I cry are not for myself. I can only pray that someday you will find it in your hearts to forgive me because I will never be able to forgive myself. I am so so so sorry."

Pacheco must serve the full 90 days in jail, according to the judge who sentenced her. Anderson’s family members stated after the court proceeding that they were pleased that the legal matter is over and they are now able to move forward with their lives.
