South Valley shooting victim is state rep's son

We have confirmed that a man killed Monday in a South Valley shooting is the son of Dem. State Representative Ernest Chavez.
The shooting happened Monday on La Vega near Arenal.
Deputies responded after they got a call to help a man who was shot.
That man told deputies about another victim - which turned out to be Ralph Chavez, 45.
Chavez, the son of Ernest Chavez, was declared dead at the scene.
The other man is in stable condition.
Deputies are not releasing his name and have not named any suspects.
