Balloon Fiesta is now officially over, but before all the tourists headed back home, they left a good chunk of money in Albuquerque's economy.

The official numbers will not be out for another few weeks. But vendors, businesses, and Balloon Fiesta officials say this year was definitely a success.

"This has been definitely one of the better Balloon Fiestas that we've ever had," Manager of the Old Town Basket and Rug Shop Laura Martinez said.

Martinez said there has been a constant flow of traffic into Old Town, and she has seen several tour buses lined up all week.

Vendors at Balloon Fiesta Park also told us they had a great week of business.

Tom Garrity with the Fiesta says they have some good indications the numbers will be through the roof.

"One of our concessionaires actually ran out of propane, they were making so many breakfast burritos," Garrity said.

Garrity said last year, Fiesta tourists brought in $90-million dollars into Albuquerque's economy.
