With a live debate coming up on KOB Eyewitness News 4 Thursday night, Democrat Michelle Lujan Grisham is pulling farther ahead of Republican Janice Arnold-Jones in the race for Congress in New Mexico's 1st District.

Lujan Grisham is leading the Arnold-Jones by 14 points, 51 percent to 37 percent, in the poll published Tuesday by the Albuquerque Journal. 12 percent of the voters are undecided.

Among Hispanic voters, Lujan Grisham is polling at 65 percent, with Arnold-Jones at 25 percent. That's a gain of 11 points for Lujan Grisham since last month.

Arnold-Jones' campaign is saying the race is still close because of the 12 percent undecided voters.
