Lobos men's basketball coach Steve Alford said this years club is much like the 2009-2010 team with Darington Hobson. Hobson led the team in points, rebounds and assists. That team went 30-and-5 on the year and made it two the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Those Lobos ran a 4-guard lineup and so will this years club. This year's Lobo team is bigger in the middle with Alex Kirk at 6'11" and Cameron Bairstow at 6'9." This year's team can score at just about every position, but the real question is can they get the kind of numbers from Tony Snell that they got from Hobson. I'm not referring to the rebounds or assists but better point production. Look for kendall Williams, Hugh Greenwood and Demetrius Walker to pick up the slack in the assist department and help Kirk and Bairstow in the rebounding department.
