A fiber optic line cut west of Gallup has affected phone and internet services across Cibola and McKinley counties, according to dispatch personal in the Four Corners area.

Officials with the telecommunications company said crews are working to fix the problem. Services are estimated to return between 3 and 6 hours.

Calls to 911 from landlines are not affected by the outage. Cell phone users will not be able to call 911 in case of emergency.
