There were two separate falling accidents in the Jemez mountains over the weekend leaving two men died.
A Sierra de los Pinos man in his mid-fifties fell approximately 200 feet to his death while cutting a tree in Cochiti Mesa Saturday.
Los Alamos fire officials said the man was helping clear an area of private land which was badly burned by the Las Conchas fire last year.
The call came in on the accident about 12:30 p.m. Officials have not released the man's name.
That incident occurred about five miles away from where a missing hiker's body was found the same morning.
Experienced hiker Thomas Ilg, 54, was reported missing Friday after heading out on a morning hike.
State police said search and rescue crews found Ilg's body Saturday morning at the bottom of a 100 foot cliff.
And in another incident, a family had to be rescued from the La Luz trail in the Sandias Mountains Saturday evening.
The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office said the family was hiking when the father became weak. His wife and son then got lost while trying to find help.
All three were rescued and are all expected to be okay.
