Vallecito Fire crews sent home after overnight snow fall

A wildfire near Durango, Colorado continues to burn Friday. The Vallecito fire has burned about 1,400 acres, fire officials say.

The Vallecito fire, which is located west of Vallecito Reservoir and County Road 501 on the San Juan National Forest, was first reported on Oct. 16.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 is told an inch of wet snow fell in the area Thursday night.

Firefighters have been released as the fire, which is 25 percent contained, is being turned back over the Columbine Ranger District which will continue to monitor it.
