ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say an Albuquerque woman caught driving twice the speed limit and drinking alcohol with two children in her car has been booked on one count of child abuse.

The Albuquerque Journal cites a criminal complaint that alleges 29-year-old Crystal Armijo was estimated to be traveling 80 mph in a 40 mph zone Saturday night with her 7-year-old nephew and 8-year-old niece in her car.

Police say Armijo was drinking a bottle of beer when she was pulled over and admitted consuming three beers earlier that day.

The complaint says Armijo blew at least 0.08 percent on the breath test when police arrested her. The presumed level of intoxication for adults is 0.08 percent. Armijo also could face a drunken driving charge.
