Belen firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that broke out early Monday.

Neighbors tell KOB that they heard several loud bangs, then an explosion.

The owner of the home at 106 Vista Grande in Belen reportedly refused medical attention and left the scene.

The Valencia County Fire Department says it responded to the fire at about 4:30 a.m.

A spokesman told KOB that multiple ammunition and gun rounds were fired off inside the house from the heat exposure.
