APD is looking into the death of an infant Monday evening at a Northeast Heights home.

Officers answered a call about an unresponsive infant at a home in the 500 block of Gomez NE at 5:07 p.m.

EMS immediately transported the infant to UNMH.

Upon arrival, the infant was pronounced dead.

Due to the age of the child, APD's Crimes Against Children Unit have launched an investigation.

Several people who were on scene are being questioned but no one is in custody nor being charged.
