SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - A 13-year-old girl injured in a head-on crash in northwestern Santa Fe County that killed a teenage boy from Los Alamos remained hospitalized late Thursday.

A Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office report shows the crash happened Wednesday evening on New Mexico Route 4 near the turnoff to White Rock.

Santa Fe resident Dennis Bernal was heading north when the 43-year-old allowed his pickup to cross into the oncoming lanes while going around a curve and hit a Honda sedan.

The sheriff's office says 41-year-old Jennifer Ventura-Trujillo of Los Alamos was driving the Honda and was released from the hospital Wednesday.

A 13-year-old female passenger remained hospitalized and the unidentified 13-year-old boy in the Honda died. Bernal was slightly injured.
