BCSO deputy fired shot in Blake's lot

A BCSO detective fired a shot outside an Albuquerque fast food restaurant on Monday.

According to the criminal complaint obtained by KOB Eyewitness News 4, undercover detectives with BCSO saw a drug deal taking place at the Blake's Lotaburger near 17th and Indian School.

When a detective approached a suspect's car, the suspects sped away, nearly hitting the detective in the process. At that point, the detective fired a shot. No one was hit by the shot.

Another detective chased the suspects and would up getting into an accident at the intersection of Edith and Montano.

The suspects were found at a nearby home and were arrested.

Miguel Chavez and Mary Gonzales are now facing several charges including aggravated assault on an officer.
