NM woman sentenced to 18 years in deadly crash

CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) - A Clovis woman convicted of charges related to a deadly crash that killed one man and injured four other people has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.
District Attorney Matthew Chandler says Guadalupe Flores was sentenced Friday. She must also serve five years of supervised probation and pay restitution.
She was convicted of second-degree murder and five counts of third-degree aggravated battery with a deadly weapon during a trial in September.
In February 2011, Flores used her car to run her boyfriend's SUV off the road following an argument.
Flores had rear ended the SUV multiple times and the final collision caused the vehicle to flip. A crash reconstruction expert from the Clovis Police Department estimated the final impact at about 82 mph.
Passenger Brandon Vann was killed, while Flores' boyfriend and three others were injured.
