Air Force officials are looking at developing a biomass-fueled power plant at Holloman Air Force Base in southern New Mexico.

The plant would provide electricity to the El Paso electric grid.

Experts are currently surveying about 80 acres of land to see if it's suitable for the facility. They will also look at any possible environmental effects

If the project moves forward, Air Force officials say there will be a time for the public to comment.
