FBI, APD looking for would-be bank robber

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are looking for a woman who attempted to rob a Wells Fargo Bank branch Friday in the Northeast Heights.

The attempted robbery took place at the branch at 8333 Montgomery NE.

The suspect wore a pink UNM sweatshirt, sunglasses and dark leggings. She carried a small black purse.

Witnesses say she entered the bank at approximately 11:50 a.m., placed a small box on a teller's counter, and demanded money.

The suspect is white, in her early to mid-20s, approximately 5'4, weighs about 130 pounds, medium build, and had short, blonde hair.

The suspect fled without any money. She was last seen heading west on foot.
