Longtime New Mexico House Speaker Ben Lujan, who died last week of lung cancer, was honored Thursday at the State Capitol.

A second visitation for Lujan will be Friday at the Ben Lujan Gymnasium in Pojoaque. That one starts at 5:30 p.m.

Lujan, 77, served in the state Legislature for nearly 40 years.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 9 a.m. at The Basilica Cathedral of St. Francis in Santa Fe.

Burial will follow at Sagrado Corazon de Jesus Cemetery in Nambe.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the UNM Cancer Center or to the Speaker Ben Lujan Scholarship Memorial Fund at any Century Bank Branch.
