A bill on the president's desk is something a New Mexico family has been fighting for for two years.

Master Sergeant Jessey Baca has suffered a number of health problems since he was exposed to burn pits in Iraq. Burn pits are where troops in war zones burn trash with jet fuel.

Monday, Baca and his wife got the news that the U.S. House followed the Senate and passed a bill creating a registry of burn pit victims.

Baca said it's been an emotional battle for his family and the nine others nationwide that have pushed for the registry.
